Clitoral Hood piercing is usually placed through the loose skin that covers the clitoris. There are two types of Hood piercing. One is the Horizontal Hood piercing, and the other is the Vertical Hood piercing. Correct placement is very important for these piercing's, being sure that all measurements are correct so that once pressure is applied to the jewellery it can stimulate the clitoris. Clitoral Hood piercing is one of the quickest healing piercing usually around 2 to 4 weeks.

The healing time can vary from person to person depending on their health and whether or not they follow the aftercare instructions. The first 14 days are crucial in the healing process.
During this period it is important not to touch the piercing unless cleaning (two to three times a day with a salt water solution), no oral contact, limited sexual activity, and to be careful no to knock the piercing. We advise not to change the jewellery for the first 3 months and to make sure that only the highest quality body jewellery is used at all times.
